Cyber Cert Labs is a European AI cyber software startup. We develop software for digital product manufacturers, enabling them to embed cybersecurity into their development life cycle, our solutions also support businesses that purchase digital products ensuring secure operation as defined by the manufacturer.
EU Cyber Regulations such as the Cyber Resilience Act, NIS2 and DORA require that the digital supply chain is resilient against cyber threats and attacks to ensure a safe digital Europe. These two regulations ensure security is embedded across the entire digital supply chain. Their Ai software ensures that all these regulated participants in the digital supply chain meet their cyber regulatory obligations and benefit from decreasing their exposure to cyber-attacks.
The company recently kicked off a two-year EU co-funded DEP project called CRA-AI (Cyber Resilience Act – Artificial Intelligence), which aims to create a highly automated AI-based software platform to support SMEs and micro-enterprises with product security and to ensure conformity with the provisions of the Cyber Resilience Act.
Location: European member state country (Ireland or Romania preferred)
Experience Level: 5–7 years in a similar role
Type: Full-time, hybrid in Ireland or remote if in EU Member State, some travel required
Salary Range: 55,000 – 70,000 DoE
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated Software Engineer (Individual Contributor) to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate has expertise in Python and excellent experience in modern web development with a proactive interest in leveraging AI tools and frameworks in their workflow. You will be working on complex, interactive applications that integrate advanced technologies including LLMs and rich data visualisations. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be involved in the full product development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
What You’ll Work On
- Build and evolve backend APIs and services using Python 3 and FastAPI
- Develop modern web interfaces using React, with frameworks like Next.js or Remix.js (React Router 7+)
- Implement dynamic visualizations of 2D or 3D graphs, using D3.js or Three.js
- Integrate LLMs and other AI tools directly into product functionality
- Use Docker for containerized development and deployment
- Participate fully in the entire product development lifecycle—design, build, test, ship, and support

You Might Be a Great Fit If You
- Have 5–7 years of experience in a software engineering role
- Are confident working with Python 3 and FastAPI
- Have solid experience with React, and a modern framework like Remix or Next.js
- Have experience with or interest in graph rendering and visual data interactions
- Knowledge and interest in cybersecurity—especially in the European context
- Use or are excited to explore tools like GitLab Copilot, Cursor, or RooCode
- Enjoy being part of a small, focused team, working independently but collaboratively
- Like having a direct impact and getting broad exposure to product and technical decisions
- You understand the start-up journey and want to be a part of an exciting journey
